Mission

To provide quality healthcare education & personalized care management that meets the unique needs of care providers and seniors

Expertise

Since my first job as a nursing assistant in a family care home in Edmonds, WA., my passion has always been working with older adults. Working with seniors in medical-surgical, cardiac, and critical care units expanded my knowledge of the physical, psychological and physiological challenges that often accompany the aging process.  As my career and experiences evolved, my desire to enhance the quality of geriatric nursing care grew. With a fresh Master’s degree in hand, I entered nursing academia and thrived in the enthusiasm of future nurses and exposing them to the unique challenges of geriatric nursing. Relocating to Kuna, Idaho provided an opportunity to begin my own consulting business to I work directly with seniors, their families and care providers providing quality nursing expertise and advocacy. I look forward to working with you.

Professionalism

Optimal Aging abides to the strict safety and ethical codes of conduct established by the American Nursing Association, the Aging Life Care Association and the Idaho State Board of Nursing. Learning needs are specific to each individual care provider and the communities in which they live and work. Curriculum will be designed and implemented to successfully meet learning objectives. Care needs for senior clients are also specific to each individual and the communities in which they live. After the initial assessments, a care plan will be designed with next step option for implementation.

Compassion

Appreciating the physical and psychological challenges that come with getting older, Optimal Aging collaborates with seniors and care providers to optimize day-to-day abilities with respect and understanding. Adapting care and environments to individual needs and wants can be difficult. We understand we are each unique and collaborate with individuals as a team to successfully overcome challenges.
