Expertise

With over 30 years of nursing experience supporting older adults—as a nurse, educator, family member, and friend—I’ve gained deep insight into the unique challenges they face. Today’s insurance-driven healthcare system often falls short in addressing the essential questions and needs of seniors and their families.

Compassion

Appreciating the physical and psychological challenges that often accompany aging, I partner with seniors and care providers to enhance and customize daily living with respect, compassion and understanding. Each person is unique and identifying and personalizing care to their wishes is a priority. Through collaborative teamwork, I help families overcome challenges and support seniors living as independently and meaningfully as possible.

Experience

With a lifelong passion for working with older adults, I began my career as a nursing assistant and expanded my expertise across medical-surgical, cardiac, and critical care settings. Earning a Master’s degree led me to a fulfilling role in nursing education, where I inspired future nurses in the field of geriatric care. After relocating to Kuna, Idaho, I launched my own consulting business to provide direct support, advocacy, and expert nursing care to seniors, their families, and care providers. I look forward to working with you.

Professionalism

Optimal Aging adheres to the highest standards of safety and ethics as outlined by the American Nurses Association, the Aging Life Care Association, and the Idaho State Board of Nursing (Idaho RN License #62000).

We recognize that learning and care needs are unique to each individual and their community. For care providers, customized educational curricula are developed and implemented to meet clearly defined learning objectives. For senior clients, personalized care plans are created following a thorough assessment, with tailored recommendations and next-step options to support optimal health and well-being.
